Alumni Band 2010 (added 1/27/2010)

We are in the early planning stages for the 2010 SWB ALUMNI BAND! Organized in conjunction with the 2010 All Alumni Gathering, we plan to feature the SWB ALUMNI BAND at halftime of the Shelby vs Upper Sandusky football game on Friday, September 24, 2010. Specific details will be announced in the spring. We are currently updating our SWB ALUMNI ROSTER in preparation for this exciting opportunity! Bands to Combine for Halftime! (added 9/2/2009)

The Shelby Whippet Band and the Ontario Warrior Band will present a combined Pre-game Skull Session in the SMS Auditorium this Friday (September 11th). The Skull Session will begin at 6pm and feature both bands in Pregame and Halftime festivities. This week's combined halftime show will pay tribute to the events of 9/11 and honor those men and women serving in our armed forces. Hope you can attend this free event!

The Shelby Whippet Band is proud of our newly wrapped equipment trailer. The trailer is dedicated in memory of Robert C. “Bob” Burky, Shelby Band Parents President from 1981-2007. Thank you to Jack Matta and the staff at Premier Graphics for their creative ideas and outstanding work. Special thanks to Nicole Mitchell (SHS Class of 2009) for the pencil drawing of Bob displayed on the side door of the trailer and those individuals from the 179th Airwing involved with the band’s photo opportunity in front of the “Spirit of Shelby” aircraft.
