Crickets are calling loud and clear as soon as the sun goes down. This lovely
sound always evokes ‘back-to-school’ feelings inside me and I
marvel at the fact that another summer has “flown by.”
As a new
principal at Central Intermediate School I look forward to getting to know
both parents and students and working together with you and all the Central
staff throughout the year.
We would like to welcome a number of new teachers to our building. Ms. Tracy
Boorman is teaching art at both Central and Auburn. Both Mrs. Abigail Eldridge
and Ms. Julie McClish are 5th grade teachers new to our building this year.
Ms. Rachel Sudhakaren moved from Auburn to Central as a 5th grade teacher.
Mrs. Renetta Powell and Mrs. Alicia Zachman have also joined us from Auburn
this year. They will be working with special education students. One final
change is the addition of a second 4th grade class at Central. Mrs. Gina Sackman
will be teaching that class. A warm welcome to all our new staff members.
All of them have taken time during their busy summers to get to know each
other and make plans for working together throughout the year.
We encourage parents to get involved in our PTO. Meetings will be held the
first Tuesday of each month from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the art room. We’d
love to see you there for our first meeting on September 1, 2009.
