Shelby
High School serves a population of approximately 750 students in grades 9-12.
Each year, 600-700 students attend the Senior High School building and 100-150
students attend Pioneer Career and Technology Center. Shelby students are very
fortunate to have Pioneer CTC located in their own community. This, combined
with Shelby High School's broad curricular offerings and with its proximity
to Ohio State-Mansfield and North Central State College, affords our students
the opportunity to have a broad base of choices in pursuing their educational
goals.
The staff of Shelby High School is committed to providing students with a broad
base of choices in all areas of academics, co-curricular activities, and extracurricular
activities. To this end, Shelby High School is continually looking for ways
in which to improve the programs offered to its students.
Known throughout the Northern Ohio League as a leader in all educational areas,
we are always being watched by neighboring schools as a model of excellence.
New this year is our continued deployment of technology tools and devices into
the high school. As our students and staff become more comfortable with this
technology we will most certainly become a model for others in this area as
well.
