The Scarlet S yearbook is a visual historical document available to all members of the Shelby Community. Its focus centers around the activities and academics of Shelby High School , but also includes other aspects of Shelby life. The Scarlet S is a modern version of the Tatler, which was first published in 1913. The 2008-2009 staff has begun production of this year’s edition of the Scarlet S . The theme for the 91 st edition is “Seen, Heard, Noted, Quoted”.

The members of the class must be members of the junior or senior classes. The yearbook class advisor is Mrs. Amanda Mahon. Seniors Karli Hartings and Leslie Kranz are the editors in chief of this year’s book with Lane Whited working as the Business Manager. The other editors and junior staff members roles will be announced at the beginning of the 2008-2009 school year.

One unique activity taken on by this year’s staff, their family, and friends, will be a fundraising project at Shelby Senior High School on Saturday November 1st, 2008. This project consists of a dinner, raffles and a donkey basketball game which will include Yearbook staff, SHS staff and several community members! Look for more information on this project in the coming months! The funding from this project will enable the staff to include special features in this year’s book, “Seen, Heard, Noted Quoted”.
